General visiting hours at CMC are from 8:00am to 8:00pm for most hospital patients. Intensive Care Unit (ICU), The Mom’s Place, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, and Family Suites follow the same visiting hours of 8:00am to 8:00pm. However, visitation is permitted 24/7, but CMC reserves the right to restrict visitation if necessary to maintain a safe and healing environment[1].
Quiet time is observed across the hospital from 8:00pm to 8:00am and from 1:00pm to 3:00pm to ensure patient rest and recovery. During quiet time, lights are dimmed, voices are hushed, cell phones should be silent, and visitor numbers are limited[1].
For the Emergency Room, up to two visitors are allowed to accompany a patient. All visitors must be screened and may be asked to wait in their vehicles if treatment areas are at capacity. Visitors under 18 must be with a parent or guardian at all times[1].
People with disabilities, as covered under the ADA and Section 504, have the right to bring a support person with them per federal guidelines[1].
Visitors arriving for scheduled surgery prior to 5:30am should report directly to the lobby on level A[1].
