Emory Icu Visiting Hours

Emory Healthcare allows two visitors at a time for hospitalized patients in the ICU, in addition to a designated essential caregiver who is granted 24-hour access. Additional guests may be permitted at the discretion of the care team and if safety allows. Visitors under 12 years of age might be restricted from certain units, including the ICU, for infection prevention and safety. Minors under 16 must be accompanied by an adult who is not the patient. These guidelines are subject to change, particularly during public health emergencies or at Emory Healthcare’s discretion[2].

For specific intensive care units, such as the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and Special Care Nurseries, visitation is capped at two visitors at the bedside at a time, and other restrictions may apply. In end-of-life or hospice situations, care teams work with the patient and family to provide the needed emotional support[2].

If you have questions about specific units or recent updates, it is recommended to contact hospital staff or the patient’s nurse directly to confirm current visiting hours and policies, as these may change based on safety or operational needs[2].
