Regional Hospital Visiting Hours

Regional hospital visiting hours vary by facility, but general guidelines for several hospitals in Louisiana are as follows:

The ICU and Emergency Room allow no more than two visitors at a time. No visitors are allowed for positive COVID-19 patients, but exceptions are made for religious visitation or support persons for patients with disabilities[1].

Rapides Regional Medical Center: General visiting hours for Medical ICU and 5A are 10:00am–2:00pm and 8:30pm–9:30pm. Surgical ICU allows visitors from 10:00am–noon, 2:00pm–4:00pm, and 8:30pm–9:30pm. No visitors under 14 years old are allowed, and only two visitors per patient at a time[2].

Glenwood Regional Medical Center: General visiting hours are 8:00am–9:00pm daily. ICU visitors are limited to two at a time and visits should be between 10–15 minutes. Only immediate family or significant others are allowed in the ICU, and children under 12 are not permitted in that unit[3].

Lane Regional Medical Center: Patient room visiting hours are 8:00am–10:00pm. There is a limit of two visitors per patient (12 years or older) and one adult may stay overnight. Specific time blocks may be provided for specialty units, and all entrance doors are locked at 10:00pm except for the Emergency Room[4].

Thibodaux Regional Health System: Visiting hours end at 9:00pm. Children with contagious illnesses should not visit, and all visiting children must be supervised. The hospital requests that families follow infection prevention practices during visits[5].

Lourdes Regional Medical Center: Two visitors aged 12 or older are allowed at the bedside from 8:00am–8:00pm, including for COVID-19 patients. One visitor may stay overnight. Emergency Department and Outpatient Surgery allow two visitors per patient[6].

Our Lady of the Lake Health: Visiting hours are 8:00am–8:00pm. Up to eight total visitors are allowed during visiting hours, with no more than four at a time in the room. Children under 18 may visit if accompanied by an adult. NICU and PICU require visitors to be at least 18 years old (some exceptions apply). Valid photo ID is required for a visitor badge[8].
