Sunway Medical Centre Visiting Hours

Visiting hours for Sunway Medical Centre (Penang) are as follows:^[1]^[3]

General Wards: 12.00 pm – 8.00 pm
- Strictly TWO (2) visitors at a time
- Each visit is limited to 30 minutes
- Visitors under 12 are not permitted
- Individuals over 60 are discouraged from visiting for safety
Critical Wards (ICU/ HDU): 12.00 pm – 2.00 pm & 6.00 pm – 8.00 pm
- Strictly TWO (2) designated visitors at a time (immediate family only)
- Each visit is limited to 15 minutes, and only ONE (1) visitor is allowed inside the room at a time
Overnight Visitors:
- Allowed for single-room patients only
- Only ONE (1) companion for patients with special needs, paediatric or elderly patients requiring a carer
- Companion must be fully vaccinated (family members or caretakers only)

All visitors must wear masks at all times. Visitors do not need to undergo a COVID-19 test prior to their visit.^[1]

Companions are not permitted in double-bedded and four-bedded rooms unless specifically indicated by the hospital.^[3]
