French Hospital Visiting Hours

Visiting hours at French Hospital Medical Center are unrestricted, meaning you can visit a loved one 24 hours per day.^[2] Patients may have two visitors at a time during their stay.^[6] For outpatient visits, one designated visitor may accompany the patient.^[6]

During the COVID-19 pandemic, specific guidelines applied: only visitors aged 16 and older were allowed, with one visitor per patient typically permitted, and general visiting hours were from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. except for special circumstances.^[1] Masks and symptom screening were required, and electronic communication options were encouraged as an alternative to in-person visits.^[1]

For labor and delivery, only one care partner is permitted at the Family Birthing Center.^[1] The hospital offers electronic prenatal classes and birthing tours as alternatives to in-person participation.^[1]
