Kloof Mediclinic Hospital has managed flexible visiting hours between 09:00 and 20:00 for general wards. However, specific areas have their own requirements:
- General Wards/Obstetric Unit: The most suitable visiting time is from 15:00 to 17:00, with one visitor at a time being allowed[3].
- ICU and High Care: One visitor daily between 15:00 and 16:00. Additional visits must be arranged with hospital management[3].
- NICU / Paediatric ICU: Only parents are allowed, one at a time at the bedside[3].
- Maternity Unit: Partner may visit daily and preferably remain in the patient’s room[3].
- COVID-positive or critically ill patients: Visits are restricted to between 15:00 and 16:00 and must be arranged in consultation with hospital management and the treating doctor[3].
- End-of-life visits: Immediate visits can be arranged on request[3].
Strict hygiene is enforced: all visitors must wear face masks, maintain social distancing, and use hand sanitiser. Please use communal restrooms rather than patient bathrooms[3].
