St Luke’S Visiting Hours

Visiting hours and policies at St. Luke’s facilities vary by location. Here are the general guidelines based on several St. Luke’s hospitals:

  • St. Luke’s University Health Network (Pennsylvania and New Jersey): Visitors are permitted 24 hours a day. However, daytime visitation is encouraged to ensure adequate rest for patients during the evening and night. Specialized care units such as Maternity, Pediatrics, Behavioral Health, and Critical Care may have specific visiting hours and recommendations that will be discussed at admission. End-of-life visitation is allowed at any time, but it is preferred to avoid the shift change times of 6:45 am – 7:15 am and 6:45 pm – 7:15 pm. Visitors are asked not to congregate in waiting areas[1].
  • Montefiore St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital (New York): Visitation hours are from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily. All visitors must undergo COVID symptom and temperature checks upon entry and be at least 12 years of age unless granted an exception. A maximum of two support persons per patient is allowed at a time[2].
  • St. Luke’s Hospital – St. Louis, MO: Visiting hours are available 24 hours a day, based on patient consent. Patients may withdraw consent for visitors at any time. For patients not in private rooms, only two visitors are allowed at a time[3].
  • Saint Luke’s Health System (Kansas City and Missouri): Visitors are welcome at all hours unless the patient is in specialized units (ICU, maternity, NICU), which may have specific visiting restrictions. There are generally no restrictions on the number or age of visitors outside of these areas. One support person may stay overnight with maternity patients[5].
  • Aspirus St. Luke’s, Duluth, MN: There are no specific visiting hours, but general guidelines apply. Unit-specific rules may limit the number or timing of visitors, especially in ICU, Pediatrics, and the Mental Health Unit[6].
  • UnityPoint Health – St. Luke’s Hospital, Cedar Rapids, IA: Visitors are typically welcome from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m., but some units may have more limited policies. A “quiet time” is observed from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.[7]
  • Aurora St. Luke’s South Shore (Wisconsin): Daily visiting hours are from 6:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. There are no onsite sleeping or shower accommodations for visitors[8].
